So are you going to explain to me how you know that?

[Because as far as she's concerned she never left a trail. No one but, the representatives even knows her real name so unless he's psychic she has no clue how he managed that one.]

I pay attention to things.

[ 'crossbows' popped up on the network (discussing being from Gotham, even) at the same time as 'Helena W.' on cuddlr (what does the W mean, he has no idea) at the same time Huntress began appearing at night.

He wasn't one hundred percent sure - the girl he spoke to, the girl in the cuddlr profile, aren't exact. And the Bertinelli he knows probably would have fed Jason his Desert Eagle. But she just confirmed it for him, so there we have it. ]

You really enjoy being vague. If it weren't for the fact my enemies would never be allowed here, I'd be pretty upset with you right now for not telling me where I screwed up.

[It'd make a lot more sense if she knew there was a Helena Bertinelli who has a face, costume, and weapon similar to hers. That quite a few people know who she is too in and out of costume. As far as she knows all she did was out that she liked archery and was born in Gotham. It's two unconnected facts.]

'crossbows' username, 'Helena' on the cuddlr app, recognizable uniform at night. You look familiar to me but not exact, which is common here with the intersection of so many multiple universes. Gotham City doesn't exist in all worlds - anyone who says they know it ends up on a shortlist of potentials.

I have enemies, too. And a disturbed son. I keep an eye out.

[It takes her a minute to get back since it still doesn't add up. The best she can guess is there was maybe someone from Gotham back in Italy when she was rescuing those women. Federal agent maybe? Alessandro didn't have a son so this couldn't be him. He'd be upfront with her about all this too.

All her explanations are paper thin. All she knows is there was only one time she used the name Helena while being more than a little reckless with her Huntress persona. She has to correct him if that's the case. The woman she stole the name of being dead wouldn't absolve her, after all. She wouldn't be playing her to save lives only to protect herself. That isn't acceptable in her eyes.]

You think I'm Helena Bertinelli, don't you?

I'm not her. I just borrowed her name to help some women out of a tough spot. The real Helena Bertinelli has been dead for a while now.

[ There's just Bertinelli where he comes from, still alive and kicking as far as he knows, on the other end of Barbara's project. ]

What do you prefer to be called?

Helena is still fine by me. What should I be calling you? 'Concerned Dad' is a bit of a mouthful.

That makes you sound like Beyonce, but okay. Since I've got you on the line, may I ask would a Robin Hood username still make you think Huntress? That was actually going to be my first pick on the network before I blinked.

It would make me think Green Arrow. To be honest with you, I don't think anyone else here watches the way I do.

Absolutely nothing. Being compared to Beyonce is the highest compliment, B. I just didn't expect a concerned dad to be pro-Beyonce.

And if we're being honest I'm not actually worried. Literally all my enemies are guilty of sex crimes or committed mass murder at some point. If they get through the front door, we'll have bigger problems than me dodging bullets during my morning tea. I was just curious how anyone put it together.

There are almost thirty people here who originate from worlds containing Gotham City. Every single one is involved in the same business.

Don't worry though. I'll get over it. The name of the game for me is survive and do good while you're at it. Feelings aren't all that important by comparison.
